I appreciate the cleanliness and professionalism of your dealership and staff. The work (tires, shocks, alignment, oil change) were done earlier than I anticipated. Everything appears to be in great working order. One area of improvement would be trying to make an appointment. Your online scheduler is fine for just a simple oil change. But trying to get through your "call center" is frustrating. I had to call back twice to finally get through to a service writer which took a couple of days. Then after I was scheduled I kept getting emails asking me to schedule my service. Very confusing. I wish i could call a service writer directly. Just something to be worked on but I would highly and have recommended your dealership to friends.

I came in for an oil change and they were to put new wipers on windshield. They came to talk to me after and said that the guy that was putting the wiper on the back had broke the arm. First of all I never asked for a new wiper back there and nobody came to ask me about it either. It was a day that I really could have used the wiper on the back. They were to call me when it came in the next day and they did but it didn't come in. And I haven't gotten a phone call yet about it being in. The discount they gave me on the bill that day wasn't very satisfactory to me. For part of the discount was coupon that I had given them towards my service which shouldn't have been included in the discount. A more satisfactory discount would have been not paying for the wipers. Yes they are going to pay for an install the one for the back of course but it was a big inconvenience for me not to have one that day and the next. And now I have to come back to have them replace the rear one that they broke that I never asked them to replace. After this I will probably not bring my car in for service even though I bought it at your dealership.

They did great

Stopped unannounced to check on an oil change and was able to get in from a cancellation. They were also able to rotate tires. Very lucky I could be fit in.

They were happy and friendly, kept me informed of everything they were doing, including costs.

Clusterf*#k. Dealing with a central switchboard instead of talking to the actual dealership is a mess. Our appointment, made online as requested, was lost. found our vehicle was assigned to a different owner! Mark at the Hayward dealership was amazing, found the appointment, reassigned to us, got us rescheduled, even picked up our car for service since we were stuck out of town due to the government shutdown. Some of the items we had originally scheduled did not get completed, but we can live with that. Again, thank you Mark for going above and beyond to help us out!

Had to replace a backup camera on my truck. The camera cost lest then $75 but the bill was $522!!Absurd!

Don Johnson’s Hayward Service is the best I have ever had of any dealership. Very professional yet hometown. It must be good, it’s hard to get an appointment but it’s worth waiting.

I have no complaints. I made our appointment online and it was very easy and I was able to get in fairly soon. When we got there they took my car right away and everyone was very nice to us. We were in and out within an hour. Very nice waiting room with free coffee, pop and water.

Fast service

I took my truck in for an oil change and did a great job. I also told them that there was a clunking sound coming from my vehicle. They told me that they could hear the clunking also but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. They told me I could drive it and they didn’t think it was a safety concern. So I still have the clunking sound.

The experience was excellent. I was kept informed with the progress of my vehicle. The people at the desk were very polite and courteous.

This dealer and the repair folks are top notch and always have been. They will go out of their way to help you find what you need and for a decent price.

From the beginning we purchased this truck and within days of owning it had a "service charging system error code pop up. Truck was taken to the dealership and it was determined the alternator needed to be replaced. Apt was schedule for 30 days out roughly. Truck was brought back into the dealership and the alternator was installed. Within a few miles of the 60 mile drive back home the service charging system error popped up again. It came on six different times in the 50 miles to back home. My question is after installing the new part was the truck driven to see if the error was still present. We since have contacted the dealer and we have been driving the truck the last week to see if the error would clear. It hasn't and we have to call the dealer about what is the next course of action. I fail to believe this is something that just happened. I am starting to believe the error was present when we bought the truck. If I had to sell the truck today with the error present I wouldn't get my money back or even close after owning it for a few months. This is the third vehicle I have purchased from this dealer in the last year. The first two were great experiences. This third purchase has left me honestly disappointed. Again I will be contacting the dealer to see what can be done.

The service was exceptional. Not only that, their waiting area offers coffee and soda. The video of what they did is a favorite.

As part of my oil change and tire rotation I asked if they could check my vents as they seemed clogged during the winter. Little did I know this meant doing a full diagnostic. Three hours later I was still waiting for news of my truck and had to find someone else as the associate who checked me in was out to lunch. Apparently the tech had switched to working on someone else's vehicle and hadn't completed mine. It still took 45 minutes for the paperwork to be completed and I was finally able to leave. Half my day shot waiting for an oil change.....

We love this all person and all the other people around there made us feel like family and most of all. We love the vehicle. Great price great condition. Have a wonderful day and thanks again. Recommend using anybody.

Always great service. The only negative item that I will keep mentioning is the scheduling system that the management insists on continuing. It is complex, people that answer have no experience on vehicles and often they schedule you to the wrong dealer. Luckily I drive by this dealer and can walk in and set up an appointment.

The experience while purchasing this auto was very good, Mr. Max Anderson from your hayward division was very excellent at working though the purchase process. And explaining in detail all the features of this vehicle, a straight Forword salesperson.

I really appreciated Mark getting me in early to get my truck looked at. I’m also happy the issue with my trailer lights was fixed. I really ticked off about being charged 300 plus dollars for that service. I purchased the useless extended warranty on all electrical issues. I was informed by Mark that the trailer wiring issue was considered rodent damage and was not covered. I was also told the wiring was totally encased and protected,. Hence not being covered under warranty. Not sure I fully understand that. I guess it took extra time for the service department to figure out the issue, hence the price tag was higher because of that. I’m all for paying for competed work, but I was definitely shocked by the price. Completed frustrated with the truck I purchased and all of the problems that it has had. Included when I went I under the truck to look for the trailer wiring issue and was greeted with the completely rusted frame of my truck which I purchased brand new 3 shirt years ago. Finally, the radio and back up camera continued to not work properly and I have video evidence of that issue. It was supposedly fixed during my last visit. The radio and CarPlay continue to cut out constantly and my back up camera turns pink and shorts out. I also receive error messages still and the screen is completely blank. This happens multiple times a week, with it working properly for short periods of time. Thank you, Tyler and Debra Walsh.

Had my new Ram 1500 towed 3 times and 5 loaners with just over 10,000 miles and they were always accommodating.

We needed new tires, they got us in very quick (3 days) and the price was reasonable...all things considered.

The AI system used by Don Johnson for serve request DOES NOT WORK! The system scheduled my service with the dealership! Fortunately the service department at Don Johnson Chevrolet Hayward squealed me and completed the work and on time! Fix your AI scheduling system!
